DeFi Inc. and FUNfinder Debut Innovative Software Technology Named Royal Connect on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas

DeFi Inc.™ announced today the launch of the Royal Connect, a communications and location-based navigation software solution on Apple iPhones powered by DeFi Inc., on the world’s largest cruise ship, Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis of the Seas. Custom designed with a patent pending suite of tools and tightly integrated software solutions, the application allows cruise passengers to locate and track family and friends, make reservations onboard the ships’ restaurants and spas, keep up with daily cruise activities, chat and communicate using digital voice with other cruise passengers and ship locations. The Royal Connect application is creating a never before seen cruise experience based on DeFi Inc.’s FUNfinder navigation technology.

Despite the ship’s size, one that spans 16 decks and encompasses 225,282 gross registered tons (GRT), the Royal Connect allows cruise passengers to stay in touch – whether at the spa, the gym or the boardwalk. More than 1,000 Wi-Fi access points are throughout the ship, all of which are mapped with mapping software and displayed on the iPhone custom designed software. The Royal Connect’s custom software from DeFi Inc. gives passengers the ability to track passengers in their group, chat with other passengers, dial any extension on the ship and stay up to date with the latest cruise activities.

For parents with kids under the age of 12, Royal Connect will allow parents to keep track of their kids’ whereabouts on the world’s largest cruise ship. Upon boarding the ship, kids receive a wristband integrated with a location-based services chip that links to a parents’ rented iPhone, allowing them to monitor and locate their children.

“The Royal Connect powered by DeFi Inc. marks the debut of our revolutionary technology, and what better way to launch such a software solution than on one of the world’s most revolutionary cruise ships,” said Dave Thomas, President of DeFi Inc. “The Oasis of the Seas is the largest ship in the world, and passengers want to be able to keep up with family and friends. We custom designed this innovative suite of software specifically to solve this problem and allow family members to stay in touch, no matter where they are on the ship.”

Royal Connect is available for rent to cruise passengers on a first-come, first-served basis for the duration of the cruise. DeFi Inc. developed the next-generation software solution that includes mapping software, database management software, security software, device management software, navigation and location based software, chat software and digital voice software, all of which power the iPhone.
